i have no idea, lol

maybe not many kids declined their acceptance?

well, 75% of last years applicants decided to go to SD and this number met sophie davis' quota of 65-70 kids

is sophie the one with dartmouth?

what do you mean, xgw1090?

well yes, dartmouth is one of the six medical schools that u can attend after the 5 years.

Does anyone know if the math placement exam is hard?

no not at all, i just took it two weeks ago, and if u've taken math B and done ok, u'll find it relatively easy. the more u answer correctly the longer it goes since its computerized. so if u find urself alone in the room means u've done pretty good. its mostly basic algebra and trig.

Thanx...did you get to use a calculator, and roughly how long were you there for?

i actually took the test a month ago, before i received my waitlist letter from sophie davis and the test is fine; but as the other user mentioned, i was the last person to leave and the questions got harder as you moved along....u do not get a calculator and the test is computerized and here's the best part....there is no TIME LIMIT!!! hurray...too bad that it doesn't matter for me nemore

can u choose which med school u want to go to?

u get to rank the schools. the schools rank you [using info from an application and an interview]. then a bunch of people and a purported computer algorithm helps place you.

so basically it comes down to what school is best suited for you .... it might not be the school u want right?

Yeah, something like that. I'm not sure how exactly they do it.
The schools all have their merits, and most students get to attend one of their top 2-3 choices. That's all I need. lol

Sry, but does anyone who where the reception is located tomorrow...I lost the sheet.

yay sophie kids! lol it was cool to meet some of you guys at the reception!

*Lucy

Hey everyone..

I just stumbled on this message board.. I was accepted to Sophie and I am going.. just wanted to meet some people since I didn't get a chance to talk to a lot of people at the reception and I'm not going to the summer thing..

I'm from Long Island and planning on living in the Towers, so if anybody needs a roommate it would be nice to be with a fellow Sophie student!
