Sophomore Courses- good to handle?

english honors
science research honors
AP us history
chem level one(btw i'm not a science person so level one to me is honors)
alg II level one
band
spanish III

the thing is i have no idea if apush will be a huge impact on gpa. I want to go to Upenn, what is some advice for me?
Plus I want to ask if I can have my math teacher change level to honors. I love math. I was recommended for honors but my midterm got a B+ which is a huge low as I get A's. So Level one :(.

How should I approach my math teacher? I don't want to sound pushy, and I take after school KUMON (torture), but im doing alg. two stuff now so I know some background stuff already. I'm almost done-starting precalc soon.

But if I did honors math, will this impact gpa, grades, and myself (need hw time, time for sports, and sleep 7 hrs at least).
I know APUSH has alot of writing reading and memorizing...
spanish, band, and science research are easy.

im worried about english, alg II HONORS, APUSH, and chem which I need to try hard in. Should I do honors math?
How hard is it really? How fast pace? Is it easy to get or what? I aced algebra 1 in 8th grade, but it was level one, the top level, so it wasn't "hard". Honors is harder. But I heard it prepares you for critical thinking stuff. I don't know!!!

I'm an above average student. I work hard at times, and I good at memorizing. I love english and math (weird combo...usually math and science right?) and I'm weak at science although I like biology but I do bad on tests (but I still have 4.0, and our teacher is crazy, he gives us ap or honors stuff as quizzes sometimes!) I like history, like the action, but some stuff is boring. Like revolutions-awesome, napoleon awesome etc. I like drama in history lol.

But obviously not perfect. Although I would like to try to be almost perfect.

Thanks for your help!
PS. So, how to ask a math teacher who recommended you level one to change to honors? Is it kind of rude...? Hurry, course form due monday!

Make sure those are rigorous courses. The AP US History is great, and so is Spanish III. Colleges want to see their students multilingual. Also, we really can’t tell you how hard Algebra II will be for you; it’s up to you to make that decisions. You’ll be dealing with matrices, systems of inequalities, parabolas, polynomials, polynomial functions, binomial expansion theorem, logarithms, absolute value and absolute value function, exponential functions, possibly conic sections and basic trigonometry. Still, this was based of the Mississippi curriculum, so it will be different for yours. I say GO FOR IT. Challenge yourself. Don’t take the class because it’s hard; take it because a) you need the challenge or b) you love the subject. Also, if you know for sure you will be bad at the class, like FOR SURE, FOR SURE, then don’t take it.

Thanks tommy, but I live northeast, so I don’t know if that changes anything. I tried looking online for algebra two teacher websites, but in my school there is only one, but the teacher doesn’t post any worksheets etc so I can’t tell if it’ll be hard.

I do want to go for it, I’m just worried of how hard everything will be in terms of homework and getting ready for all the tests/quizzes/essays.
What do you think, have you taken them? How would you rate Algebra two? And APUSH?
I went to visit with an apush teacher, and I asked her questions and she said that each week it is a chapter or two. She said it is not the notes that kill grades, but the DBQs and FRQs and essay things. She said it was difficult to transition to college writing from middle school writing. Also forgot to mention our school splits up the course. so junior year i take ushistory two AP if I make requirements.
