Can anyone tell me which day (Saturday or Sunday) is best for a second year to move into dorm? Less crowded on Sunday? OR are more trying to get in a little bit more time at home that last weekend (making Sunday jammed)? Thanks!

whatever is most convenient for you, IMO. I don’t think there is very much difference. Keep in mind if you are on a meal plan it doesn’t start until… well, whenever it starts. Some people come Monday (or even Tuesday), but I think the vast majority come during the weekend.

You can move in all day also (or 9-5 or whatever), so it is less crowded then freshmen move in, because you essentially the time block is four times as big, as you have two mornings and two afternoons, instead of one morning.

Thanks, Soccerguy. We waited for D’s one roommate to move in first (around nine am), and we arrived around eleven am. We had to move her into Chandler Hall (parking along Landrum–we had two cars, found close and far away parking and just moved them closer in as spots opened up). We loved that it was less chaotic and not so hurried–but I really loved having all that help last year!). She did a much better job packing this year though, so it took no time at all to move her up to the third floor! We headed to Firehouse Subs for lunch, the bookstore and Target (she has a car so it was a quick trip for extra egg foam mattress covers–she was spoiled with new furniture last year!). Glad we did it on Saturday so we can spend a huge part of the day with her getting her settled and then leaving her to rest and finish up the odds and ends with her roommate! Thanks again for the quick reply!
