Sophomore Transfer Chanceme: USC, Georgetown, Cornell

GPA: 3.93
ACT: 29
Credits: 44 total (10 AP, 17 fall, 17 spring)
EC’s: Nothing amazing, couple clubs, one business oriented, full time job
HS GPA (Not that it matters): 3.3 (I did terrible freshman year, above 4.0 senior year)
Recs: Very good
Essays: I’m a great writer, so it shouldn’t be an issue

Note: My original intentions were to only attempt to transfer to USC, but if I have a shot at Georgetown and Cornell I may fill out an application for the hell of it.

I agree with you that you should apply regardless, but… I suggest you retake the ACT in February to raise that score to above a 30. It’ll be too late for USC unfortunately because of their deadline, but you’ll still have time to send your scores to the other two granted the ACT does it in their usual timely manner.

Will the 29 ACT really drag my chances down for Georgetown and Cornell? What are they like currently?

Your high school act and gpa will not be taken into consideration for USC as long as you have 30 transferable credits. Their deadline for transfers is Feb. 1.
