I was just wondering if anyone knew how difficult it is to rush at UNC as a sophomore? I am trasnferring there for next semester hopefully and it's something I'm interested in. Plus, I'm black. Is that seen as taboo to rush the Panhellenic sororities?

My sister rushed as a sophomore after attending UNC her freshman year. I don’t think being a sophomore is a mark against you, however, in my sister’s case her gpa was lower since she had already attended a year of college than the incoming freshmen with high, high school gpa’s. Sororities want to keep their name amongst the best, including strength of GPA’s.

GPA wouldn’t be in issue… I currently go to a well known private college and I have a 3.9. It’s more of a question of how many sophomores do they take and if its harder when you’re competing against mostly freshmen
