Hey!
I'm going to be a freshmen at UR and I'm curious about Greek Life for an Asian-American girl? I'm really interested in joining a sorority but I heard that at UR usually minorities stick with other minorities? I'm sort of worried that there might be a certain prejudice towards non-Cauasians joining a sorority , which means theres no chance for me to be in one?
Sorry of the question doesn't really make sense, but I'll appreciate any reply I get
thanks :)

UR’s sorority community is thriving and expanding with a new sorority coming onto the campus soon so there are lots of existing opportunities and the new chapter will be recruiting charter (or new) members from every class–usually following the formal recruitment period which takes place in the spring semester at UR. What to do? Take advantage of the Fall 15 Panhellenic info sessions – sometimes called “Meet the Greeks” that the campus Panhellenic sponsors to introduce freshmen to UR sororities. Follow the chapter social media profiles of each chapter and when you get to campus in the Fall join clubs that you like and will find sorority women there too. Read GreekChat.com for tips on recruitment–Ignore GreekRank.com – and be yourself, have fun and enjoy recruitment. Good luck!
