Your SAT is a bit low but so is mine, lol.
the real killer is going to be your GPA…good SATII SCORES, and you’re an URM which helps a little…]
I`d say about a 20% chance

Rejected. Sorry, but being out of state having a 2.9 and a 1740 won’t get u a spot at umd (though u may get in freshman first)

20% or lower chance… Maryland seems to take pride in its above-average stats, and… I don’t know if those will work out for you :(. If you can reallllly prove your interest, you have a chance.

i went to a college visit at umd, they said they dont care for SAT II’s

yea 2.9 and below average SAT scores = rejected

you’re OOS…if you’re from NY or NJ, not a chance(sorry)…Wyoming, Montana, or Idaho, maybe???

I’m going to be truly honest as hard and tough as it may be, but there is no chance that you will get in, unless you have an incredible story about your academics. I know exactly how the admission officers will look at you, they will look at you as not having enough potential, because of your GPA and SATs are both way below the average for UMD. UMD is getting very, very hard to get into for out of state and even the instates need to be top 10% or lower in their class for the most part.

The average GPA is about a 3.89 and 1240-1380 SAT (27-31 ACT).
