Sorry, on a posting rampage but I'm bored:] Switching schools: yay or nay?

I strongly dislike my public school. It's poor, lacks resources, bad teachers, limited opportunities, hard to find friends since majority are in low-level classes, difficult to have a successful newspaper/lit. mag since only about 10 kids are interested and many are not very good writers.

There are very good private schools near me. One is an all-girls school.

The pros are more opportunities, better teachers, hopefully able to find friends more like me, better resources, better cafeteria food :]

Cons: Perhaps I might fall back in terms of academics if it's waayyy more challenging than my current schoos, both schools have many rich, spoiled kids. I'm neither. I'd probably have a low chance of having leadership roles, whereas at my current school, I'm almost guaranteed leadership in the 3 club that I'm involved in, financial buren on my dad.

Sooo, to switch or not to switch?

Do you want to?

I’m in a conundrum, lol. I listed my pros and cons. I’m wondering if any of you who attend private school would recommend that I switch to one for the reasons I listed or someone to just give me an opinion!

Does anyone attend/know of Greenwich Academy or King Low Heywood Thomas School? If so, please let me know :)
