<p>CANDACE - College of Charleston is an awesome school - in a beautiful and historic city - with a very good liberal arts program and education program as well - many great opportuities thru the school as well - you would definitely not go wrong by taking a good look there.</p>
<p>Erkerd - great campus - on the water - Liberal Arts - but no 'education' major there that I am aware of. The school really encourages you to use your imagination and they strongly encourage study abroad/internships - even develop your own major there - oooo and if you have a boat - bring it along - and your water shoes too .................. pretty area. (they may have a teaching certification program tho BTW - check it out)</p>
<p>I agree on the info above about the requirements needed for teaching - in different states - tho my son was originally certified in VA - he had NO problem gaining certification in MA - but every state/community seem to have some differences - so yes - a good idea to compare.</p>
