southgate

how do the new dorms wildwood & degraff compare to each other? and how do they rate when compared to southgate? will southgates's popularity decrease with opening of these new dorms?

wildwood and degraff are basically identical, while degraff is considered by alot of ppl to be "off campus", because it's across the street its still very regulated. And wildwood is considered the dorm with the best location. Southgate is considered off campus housing and really isn't that popular anymore.

isnt southgate expensive is it really nice inside? has anyone been inside?

We looked at it when we were at FSU last June. Honestly, it looked very institutional to me. It was very run down. The lobby had broken furniture. We were taken up to see a sample room...also very institutional feeling. I wasn't impressed although having a bathroom in every double room is a big plus. Wildwood dorm, on campus looked gorgeous from the outside.

Here is the link to southgate:

I stayed in Southgate for a summer camp one time, and the best word to describe it would be "dank." And you are required to purchase their meal plan if you live there, which means you would have to eat of their cafeteria (which isn't too impressive compared to the Suwanee Room). The new dorms are both just great, and you aren't required to purchase a plan at either of the new ones, though it is a good idea. It would end up cheaper and better to live in DeGraff or WIldwood.
