span placement exam or satII

should i just take the spanish placement exam or go for the SAT II to try to get ahead in foreign language? Would it be worth it to give the SAT II a shot?

i don't care about your post. i want to know if you're playing tennis for uva haha

well tenniskid, you get if you take the SATII and it doesn't end up the way you want you get another shot by taking the placement exam. So why not give yourself two shots.

I dropped spanish after spanish 3 and then i found out that you can get your FL credit by getting a 650 on the sat II a few monthes ago. So i'm gonna try to study and get a 650 in may or june. I figure i have nothing to lose and i might as well try. Even if you fail i dont think you're scores will matter in the future.

waaait do i need to take the span placement?

if you haven't taken the SATII and want to place into a level higher than 101 you need to.

Go ahead and take both. My scores on the french SAT2 and french placement exam placed me into the same level of french, but it may not be the same for everyone.

eh might as well take 101, my spanish 101 teacher in HS made us watch beavis and butthead in spanish...my grasp of the language isnt "fuerte" ;)

i think getting a 4 or 5 on the AP spanish Language exam gives the same credit as scoring high on the sat 2 or placement exam

Cav302, If you had placed out of French due to one test but not the other, would you still be exempt from the language requirement?

Thanks for the advice. I also figure taking both will be the best option. Konstantine i only play for my high school team, but i'll just walk on to the varsity and start no problem :)

are you a girl or guy? i hope that statement is sarcastic because uva has the best tennis team in the nation. . .

it must be sarcastic.

UVA actually doesn't have the best tennis team in the nation, but it's one of the top ones, at least.

i'm pretty sure this past year they were ranked one, but i do know they are perennially in the top 5 or so.

We're not in the top 10 I believe, last time I checked it was like #11 but that was a few weeks ago. If you want to go to a VA university for tennis VCU would be better in that respect.

yes, yes it was sarcasm. most of the team isn't from the us anyway, and plus our team is diesel

i like you. simply because of your use of the word diesel.

at least play club with me haha once upon i time i was going to play division I tennis but i gave up those dreams long ago haha
