<p>I really enjoy Spanish and definitely want to continue studying the language in college, though perhaps not as a major (though you never know…)
I’ve heard that the Amherst spanish dept. isn’t fantastic and/or that it’s making changes? Is that true? How are the spanish classes, and if they are for some reason less than wonderful, do any of the other four colleges have interesting spanish programs?</p>
<p>I’m especially curious because I’m thinking about what classes I might want to take, and there are so many! If the strictly academic spanish offerings aren’t that interesting I’d just like to know, to find some other way to keep practicing it (and to open up some future expected slots for some other really cool classes).</p>
