Spanish IV?

Hi, I am a junior who really wanted to take Spanish IV. However, Spanish couldn’t fit in my schedule since it was clashing with other core class. I’m faced with the final result of either - taking Spanish IV during another class (like during Spanish 3) or independently (empty classroom with teacher). Or I could take out Spanish completely, but that would ruin my chances of getting into certain colleges. What do you think?

I don’t understand - would you be allowed to skip Spanish 3 to take Spanish IV? Can you take the equivalent of Spanish 3 at a community college over the summer or do something online to put you in good stead for taking the more advanced course? Is there an AP offering? I would not drop after level 2.

What Spanish level did you reach this year? We’re you going to skip Spanish 3 or else why would you take it at the same time as Spanish 4?

I think the op is saying that they already took Spanish 3, but would sit in the teacher’s classroom during their conference period or their Spanish 3 period and do Spanish 4 independent study. Due to a schedule conflict with the actual S4 period.

Ah, that makes sense. If I were he/she, I’d still see if I could skip to the next level by getting some exposure/work done over the summer. D17 skipped from French 1 to French 3Honors after going to France for 3 weeks, and will be skipping from 3Honors to V Literature after taking a summer class at a UC.

Oh I already took Spanish 3 last year and now the coming September I wished to take Spanish 4
