Spanish Literature, can it be self-studied?

has anyone self-studied spanish literature. im thinking about doing that with one of the practice books. my counselor and the head of the spanish dep. say i shouldnt do it but i think its worth the try since i enjoy reading in spanish. Any experiences you could tell me (yours or of people you know). Thanks in advance for all the imputs.

Yep, I am self-studying ap spanish (with the weekly help of a teacher). PM Me

they have practice books for spanish lit? I couldn't find a single one last year!! anyway i thought the test was insanely hard, and especially if you're not a native speaker it's really hard to read all the stories since most of them use old spanish, with loads of vocab you wont know! plus all the stylistic stuff. it's a lot of work doode. then again, i got a 2 on this test! and only a 3 on the AP Spanish Language test. Maybe you have a better hold of Spanish. I understand that if you truly have the drive then you might just do well. i'm motivated enough to self-study for a few APs myself. so if you KNOW you're good at spanish, then go for it. but even when I did take Spanish Lit as a class, I still probably would have been better off leaving the exam alone.

I haven't done this but, well, here's the reading:
