Special Case For UCLA and UCSD. What are my chances?

For diversity,

I am really diversified. I have been in my schools Jazz Ensemble from sophomore-junior year. This year I had to drop some of my electives in order to take a few APs. Also, I am really active in my community. Starting freshman year, I joined Key Club and also volunteered at many city sponsored events as well as at my local synagogue. As a cancer survivor, I walk in almost every walk as well as many other walks and rallies such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund Walk and Save Darfur rallies. Actually on Friday, one of the rival high schools is having a pep rally and for 4 hrs, cancer patients give speeches and also people shave their heads to raise money. As we speak, I am in the process of getting my classmates to pay me to shave my head and the proceeds will go towards cancer research. I think I would definitely enrich the student body and community of University of California at Los Angeles. Btw, this is only like 1/10 of one of my college entrance essays.

I hope, I get in.

As I think more about it, I get angered more and more.

My UC GPA would be a 4.2-4.4 if I didn't have to drop my APs last year. Will UCLA consider that I was enrolled in AP's, I just had to drop them and that's the reason for my 4.06 UC GPA. Secondly, I would look a lot more well rounded, because I had the biggest plans for junior year. I was going to do JV Lacrosse and also act in all of the theatrical productions.

I hope UCLA strongly examines my case, and makes the right decision, :)!

u should get into U Maryland and U Florida!

I got into Maryland (OOS) with a 3.6 unweighted and 1870 SAT I

You are right; I didn't see the part where he said he was out of state. I would say slight reaches for both.

Just on a personal note, (I have no idea what your chances are) my best friend just got diagnosed with Hodgskin's 3 days before her 16th bday. Glad you're in remission and I'm praying she'll get through this (they caught it pretty late and they also found cancer in her liver)
