In my email, I recieved an invitation from Cornell to go on a two day field trip to visit. They provide transportation and undergraduate students from the "red carpet society" are our hosts.

Is this something they send out to everyone? Or is it only for interested people who put themselves on the Cornell mailing list or sumthin?

Does anyone know anything about this or has anyone been on this trip before?

Friends son did this (or something similar) a few years ago. His trip was sponsored by Cornell alumni group from Long Island and there was a bus from L.I. to campus. I know he applied ED to Cornell so his name may have been floating around as an interested student. If it is the same type of trip which is sponsored by alumni group, it may not help too much with admission, but it certainly can't hurt. I always advise everyone to try and do the individual college tour i.e labor relations or CALS etc. It is a way to meet with the admission staff from the individual school. I think it is more helpful than the general tour of Cornell U. Why is this school Sooo confusing!!
