Special Situation Please HELP!!!

I just got accepted to UCSD and UCD Economics as a transfer student. I did really well (3.8) when I applied back in Nov but bombed my Calculus 1 in Winter session (D). I then changed my Spring classes in Febuary completely because obviously I cannot finish Calculus 2 anymore.

I promptly called all the UCs to notify them that I'm not taking Calculus in spring -- was expecting that I'd not be accepted by any of these schools since it is a pre-reg for Economics. For some strange reasons I still got accepted by UCSD and UCD as Economics major. Questions:

(1) They both requires me to get C or above for my courses in progress. I don't know if they have my old courses or new courses and am afraid that if I contact them and expose my situation my offer will be recinded. Should I call them still?

(2) Can I ask if I can switch major at this point (I have satisfied all Communications pre-req)?

Thanks for everyone for your help. I cannot be truly happy unless I know that my offers are real and can be achieved based on my enrolled classes right now.

1) call them for sure. you dont want to get kicked out later if they find out. i’m not positive, but can’t you take calc 1 after you transfer?

2) uhh i would say to switch your major after you get to the school you’re transferring to. i know that its really easy to change majors at UCSD.

i always recommend just calling UCSD/UCD directly.

anyway, congrats on getting in! and gl! :)

The only way you will put your conscience at ease is if you call. Im sure your admission wont be rescinded. If you dont take care of this and send them your transcripts 4 months from now and they see the D without having been previously informed my guess is they wouldnt be too happy.

Thanks for your help. Interestingly enough. UC Davis has listed my D in Calculus already so they know that I’m not doing well already. I am just worried that since I could not take Calculus 1 again this semester (all classes are full) that they will reject me on this basis. But I’m ready to call them up tomorrow to clarify.
