Speech and Hearing Sciences Undergraduate major on the West Coast

My daughter, J, is interested in becoming a Speech pathologist, She has been accepted to Redlands, U of Arizona (honors college), ASU (honors college), San Diego State, San Francisco State into the program. She didn’t like ASU, SFSU and won’t attend SDSU since its too close to home. What knowledge does anyone have about the undergrad program at Redlands and U of A?- they both gave her significant merit. What about placement into grad school which is highly competitive? She is likely more interested in working with brain injury patients than children. Another option is to go to Cal Poly SLO (her favorite school) as a BS Psych undergrad but my understanding is there could be a few years of prerequisites and not sure if it will diminish chances of getting into grad school. Any feedback much appreciated, first time sending a kid off to college.

Hi @3grlmom! I earned my masters degree in speech and hearing sciences from the U of A in 1994. A couple of students in my class also attended U of A for undergrad - the rest of us came from other programs around the country. U of A is an outstanding program with an incredibly strong national reputation. I loved my time in Tucson. My closest friends to this day are the ones I made there.
