Do many, if any, undergraduate students spend spring break on campus? Are facilities open or closed? Is it inadvisable for any reason?

I believe dining facilities are closed but the dorms are open. I know that there are a lot of international students and others from far away where it doesn’t make sense to go home. There are plenty of places to eat around campus if he decides to stay, but not sure how many of his friends will be around. A lot of my DS friends from afar planned local trips around the area. PA Dutch country, AC going to DC or NYC for a few days. There are a lot of places within a train or bus ride from campus that would make for a great mini get away. Does he have any friends at other schools that aren’t on break at the same time that he could visit?

Thanks, D got a job and decided to stay and work through spring break. I just hope its not too deserted on campus. Nervous

The area shouldn’t be deserted at all. Many grad students will stay around and there are plenty of people who work around there too. It shouldn’t be totally empty, just less crowded. My D will be around the area most of the time and I am not sure if S is coming home or not as he lives off campus.
