So the first SPOP is tomorrow!! any of you guys as excited about it as i am? =p

My friend is going to the first one (i'm going to #2) and i know he's excited b/c he signed up way early and can't wait for FSSP.

Can someone who attended SPOP 1 please tell us how it went? Mine is next week and I'm really excited!
Thanks :)

yeah i'm curious too. i'm not a huge 'wait and see i want it to be a suprise' gal. not when it comes to stuff like this.

keep me posted too on some stuff u do there
minus the surprises haha

it seems like this year they changed it to 2 days SPOP. I attended SPOP 2 years ago (man it seems like a long time ago lol), it was a 3 days SPOP and it was one of the best things ever....all the cheers, random games, inside jokes, talent show, attacking other hall with water gun and kidnapping their RA, the scary story, the dance and of course "watching the sunrise".

I don't know if they're gonna change much this year with 2 days one, but if it's anything like the previous year then you guys are gonna have a blast

i just came bak from spop 1
it's super fun!
the staff are just amazing
and the talent show was a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
get ready to meet new people and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

?? I am soo confused. I thought SPOP was mostly academic? Like, don't you choose your classes, get your schedule, etc?

^^ u do but it has some fun to it as well

yes the first half of day 1 is mostly academic. they explain all the course requirement and other academic info, then u choose class in the first afternoon, but after that, it's FUN FUN FUN all night! we had hall activities, dance party, and etc=]
the second day is just bunch of workshop which u and ur parent can go together. then there's talent show (which is AMAZING) then u go back to your hall for some last-minute discussion/activites, then u go homeeee:)

just be openminded, participate, and get ready to meet new people!

Oh wow that's awesome! btw do we NEED to have transcripts with us?
I think one of the emails mentioned something about transcripts.

i brought mine but it's useless. if uci already received all ur score (on myadmission) then u should be fine. when u register for class they have like a printout of all the score(like ap's and placement test) for each person so u know what class to take.
