<p>But it’s important to remember how cyclical college sports are. Basketball and Football may have had sub par years last year, but they’ll bounce back. Those sports are still popular at UCLA (though student enthusiasm isn’t quite what it might be), and you don’t have to stop rooting for them when you graduate. UCLA will be back in the Final Four and in Rose Bowls.</p>
<p>As for the minor sports, I think any sports fan can appreciate and enjoy occasionally going to see a Gymnastics meet with a couple former Olympians or other teams with similar quality athletes. Ironically the quality of competition in some of the smaller sports is often arguably greater than in the revenue sports.</p>
