I understand the new basketball arena is complete and the football stadium is or will be. How is the school spirit when it comes to these events? Now that the sport facilities are new and back on the campus, do the kids get hyped for the games?

S2 reports school spirit very high. Attendance and energy at games is good. Football is a bit more sensitive to the team’s win-loss record than is basketball, but this year the team initiallly had some success and still has a shot at a bowl, so there has been good energy all year at football games. Yulman Stadium will likely make for even more energy, given the intimacy of the venue compared to the Superdome.

Just a note, Devlin Fieldhouse has been home to Green Wave basketball for 79 years. It is hardly new!

That is true UGAdawg, but it underwent an extensive renovation for last year.

But are there a lot of Tulane fans that are not Tulane students, staff or alumni, or their immediate families thereof, that would be strong enough academically to sustain the rigor of a Tulane education?

That does not mean that I would personally be able to sustain the rigor of a Tulane education that other Tulane fans will…

I don’t understand your post, Catria. If a local resident (or anyone else) is a fan but not a Tulane student, what difference does it make if they can “sustain the rigor of a Tulane education” or not?
