Spring '09 transfers

huh my application was completed 10/07 and i haven't heard anything of the sort. Getting anxious haha

Yeah I applied for Spring '09. (Engineering school). Dunno what they are telling you guys. I applied and was accepted for Fall '08 earlier this year, but I turned them down. Maybe it's because my stats are pretty decent (99 percentile SATs, top 5% graduating HS class) or my past acceptance, but it's more likely someone over there is giving bad information. Heh.

The acceptance letter is a small green package with the words "You're the 1 we want" on it. Good luck, guys.

duper..on your application status checker..did you have "application preference" written in with a corresponding number or phrase in the column next to it?

Admission Term: Spring 2009
Admission Type: TR CUNY
Application Preference: Not entered

..i'm just trying to cover all angles..make sure everything of mine is fine...which cuny school are you transfering out of..i'm in cuny too, csi

Baruch. Pretty sick of the commute and the overall atmosphere of this place.

yaa i was going to go to hunter but when i decided i was definitely going to try to transfer to bing, spring '09 i decided to skip that commute

Heh, I have no idea what the housing situation is going to be though.

I am sorry, but due to overcrowding we can not offer on-campus housing to transfers. You can check Off Campus College listings (occ.binghamton.edu), placefinder.com or Craig’s list for student housing.

Crap........

holy crap..****..even if i get in i guess i'm not going now..

the no-housing situation is the worst thing I've heard all semester. dammit.

The reason I'm leaving my school is because of the commute. Off-Campus housing seems pointless. =/

I really don't want to stay here.

binghamton off-campus isn't terrible, but it's definitely disappointing if you were set on living on a campus. My sister lived off-campus 3 of her 4 years at bing, and she definitely had the time of her life. Depending on what sort of lifestyle you're craving, you might end up waiting in downtown bing for friends to come meet you (to go out, shop, whatever), rather than take the short trip to campus. I should mention that it will probably be cheaper.

yaa..but the trouble of actually finding a place...as well as transportation cost to get to campus...it might be cheaper..but provides much more of a headache

occ (off campus college) and broome county buses are free with you student id -- so no transportation costs unless you plan to get a car.

occ also maintains a list of available housing.

if you get in, it may at least be worth looking into what is available and how convenient it is. up to you.

Heh, interesting. I'll look into it and see what's up. The OCC prices look reasonable, but I feel like the social scene might not be there for the transfer student.

yaa...the free transportation is good than..im gonna look into occ for sure if i get in...but again..its just one more hassel that's all

I called admissions and they said my decision had been made, and I'd be receiving the letter these next few days. She also said Spring decisions were not posted online.

I just received my acceptance letter.

crap..still havent gotten anything
