Spring 2011 Transfer...Chances????

GPA: 2.9
SAT: 750 M, 600 R, 570 W....So a 1350 or a 1920 depending on how you look at it</p>

<p>Major: Business Administration...want to major in Finance or Economics</p>

<p>Stevens Institute of Technology
GPA: 3.84 (31 Credits)
Didn't have much selection in my courses and ended up with mostly business classes
I anticipate only about 18-21 credits will transfer anywhere</p>

<p>Northern Virginia Community College
GPA: 4.00 (18 Credits)
Covered English, History, and Communications courses</p>

<p>For the Fall I am scheduled to take 22 Credits at NVCC</p>

<p>So roughly:
GPA: 3.9 (49 Credits)....I know schools look at GPA's separately but what the heck
Another 22 Credits in progress</p>

<p>Lots of EC's and I believe strong professor recommendations
Essays should be okay, but I'll admit writing is not my strongest asset</p>

<p>Including Fall 2011, I've covered alot of gen ed courses
I also have the general requirements for any business school (Calc, Micro, Macro, Accounting..etc.)</p>

if you breakdown my semesters work it goes like this:
Fall 2009 - 3.67 GPA
Spring 2010 - 4.00 GPA
Summer 2010 - 4.00 GPA
So I have increased over the last year.
I applied to schools for Fall 2010 transfer (with just my 3.67 GPA and 15 Credits)
Rejected from UVA
Waitlisted at UNC
Got into Villanova School of Business but financials got in the way of attending</p>

<p>i think your list looks pretty solid. you have the grades, but now you need essays that show who you are and why you should be a student at X school.</p>

<p>Maybe you could qualify for UVA’s or W&M’s guaranteed admissions agreement? UVA’s requirements are a little more stringent (I personally think) but maybe you’d qualify if you couldn’t get in anywhere else.</p>

<p>Well Fall 2011 is pretty far away. I also don’t want to accumulate too many credits (i.e. over 80). So thats why I’m shooting for Spring 2011.</p>

<p>I also recently looked at transfer to Notre Dame and study economics</p>
