This is my second 4.0 in a row! I'm pretty stoked!

Intro to Philosophy: A
Multivariable Calculus: A-
Overall GPA: 3.9

Most proud of Philosophy. It was actually a tough course!

Russian gender history?

I’m sorry, but *** is that?

When you’ve done enough undergraduate Humanities, you’ll stop questioning.

I got:
Gender and Genre in the 19th Century Novel: A
Fictions of Empire: A-
Women Writers II: A-

GPA of the year = 3.5.
I’m a visiting student and don’t get any credit for my year in the US, but I’m fine with that.

“When you do enough undergraduate humanities, you’ll stop questioning.”

Good point. To the person who found the class name odd: despite sounding really peculiar, especially to non-history majors, it was actually a very fascinating course. It covered definitions of masculinity and femininity, gender relations, and the family in Russia and the Soviet Union from the seventeenth century to the present.

Class standing: Rising Sophomore
Major: Biochemistry

BIOL 208 (Plants as Organisms): A
CHEM 209 (General Chemistry II): A
CHEM 209L (General Chemistry II Lab): A
MATH 154 (Finite Mathematics): A
ENGL 102 (Writing for the Humanities): A
MUSC 111 (Introduction to Music): A

Cumulative GPA = 3.87

Was completely surprised since I had been under the impression I would earn a B in Biology like I did in the fall.

management class- A
intermediate accounting- A
labor econ- A-
audit- A
spanish- A

3.9 or so

Lol is this a thread where people just show off their grades??

what exactly is “plants as organisms”? what else would they be?..

Advanced topics in PDE -Variational Methods and Gamma-convergence: A-
Advanced topics in Analysis - Introduction to Ergodic Theory: A
Advanced topics in PDE- Homogenization of Elliptic Operators: A
Functional Analysis: A
Harmonic Analysis: A
Business Calculus: C-

It’s just a name. The emphasis was on physiological and field approaches involving the use of plants to illustrate general principles of biology.

History majors get all the fun courses…

Standing: Freshman
Major: Computer Science

World History Stone Age to the Renaissance: A
Java Programming II: A+
Calculus II: A-
Game Theory: A+

My school doesn’t actually have +/- grading, so I actually just got straight up A’s, but that’s what they would have been if we did. I ended up doing a lot more work in Game Theory than I really needed to for my grade, because the format of the course was heavily student-led and cooperative so I did a lot of things just to avoid letting my classmates down (“This technique makes zero-sum games much easier to solve, but until somebody discovers and presents a valid proof for it in class I won’t accept it on any of my exams. The person who presents it will get 40 points.”).

Junior
Information Systems and Supply Chain Management

MUSC205 History of Popular Music 1950-Present: A- (awesome class, core requirement)
BMGT350 Marketing Principles and Organization: B-
BMGT364 Management and Organizational Theory: B-
ECON330 Money and Banking: B-
BMGT301 Intro to Information Systems: A-

Got an A in the only major course I took so that’s fine by me. And my GPA is still over a 3.5 so oh well, one bad semester won’t kill me.

Advanced topics in PDE -Variational Methods and Gamma-convergence: A-
Advanced topics in Analysis - Introduction to Ergodic Theory: A
Advanced topics in PDE- Homogenization of Elliptic Operators: A
Functional Analysis: A
Harmonic Analysis: A
Business Calculus: C-

interesting

Are you new to CC?

No I’m not, I’ve just not seen this before. I just find it interesting how all the people who post have, of course, amazing grades.

^ I’ll post somewhat less amazing (at least for me, as it’s the lowest semester GPA I’ve gotten in college):

Ethnographic Field Methods 3.5
Risk and Society 4.0
Book Arts (Creative Workshop) 3.5
Ethics of Being Human 3.5
Linguistic Rights and School Responsibility 4.0

All these classes sound so interesting!

Yes, every time romani mentions the classes she is taking I feel extremely jealous.
