Hi all, I'm currently a second semester freshman in community college. I originally planned on going to the University of Iowa this year, but to save money I decided against it and cancelled my admission. This first year in college has been decent, I luckily had a few friends go to the same community college as I do so I've still had people to hangout with, I just feel like I'm missing out on so much of the college experience. I have my heart set on transferring to Mizzou right now, and would love to be there as soon as possible.

I've been talking with my parents, and I want to come up with compelling reasons why I should be able to transfer to Mizzou next Spring. Fall semester is out because I want to save more money before transferring, I plan on taking 17 credits at community college next Fall. Grades are not an issue (I have a 3.07 right now and by the end of the semester I'm likely to boot that up to a 3.5).

I plan on going into business, and from what I saw on Mizzou's admission website the only way to get into the business school is to establish an MU GPA by the time I apply. Would it not be smarter to transfer to MU in the Spring and establish a GPA and then apply to the business school?

In addition, I want to still be able to experience the "true" early college experience. Let's face it, community college experience is nothing compared to a university :P what are my advantages to transferring Spring semester?
