I am curious if anyone knows about some good colleges that offer spring transfer admissions. I am currently enrolled at a community college with a 3.7 GPA. I attended UMass Amherst after graduating from high school 4 years ago, but dropped out after a lot of personal struggles during my first semester. I will be finished at my current college after the upcoming fall semester, so I am really eager to figure out some more schools to take a look at. Having to completely take the next semester off from school to be able to go to a school in the fall is not my plan whatsoever, so someone please help me out.

What kind of school are you looking for? Other than... "good colleges".

I'll get you started - University of Michigan offers spring admission, but if you want to get in next spring, you might want to get started on the app... like now.

i am applying to umich, cornell, amherst, and uva for spring transfers, the apps are out for most of them, the rest are coming out sometime this month.

I could've sworn that UVa did not have a spring transfer admission.

As far as "good colleges" are concerned, I am looking to major in economics and mathematics at a high quality school that will give me a great opportunity at getting into a solid grad program such as Harvard or UChicago. My apologies for being so vague.

I was looking at Cornell as well and it looks like a fantastic school.

I know it seems as though I am looking at schools to apply to very late, but I had a major problem after last semester. I got accepted into USC, but then shortly after found out my acceptance was revoked because of an honest mistake of not sending in my transcript from UMass the semester I had dropped out. I wrote them an explanation letter and they just could not see past the fact that it looked like I purposely omitted the transcript. However, I am trying to put the past behind me and make the most out of my current situation by transferring into a solid school come spring time.

Rice, Northwestern, Carnegie mellon

sorry to semi-highjack this thread but my question is in the same area. Does anyone know of any top notch colleges that offer spring(or winter for quarters) freshman transfer admissions?

BC, NYU, Brown...Good luck with those.
