Spring break

I'm looking around now for deals etc. Was hoping for all inclusive in the bahamas for a max of $700~. Possible? Anyone else have experiences tips to share?

$700 for how many days?

700 seems pretty low and I’d be very suspect of the quality.

Well ideally a week but I’ll take what I can get… If 700 is low what is a reasonable price? I don’t need a real fancy room, I just need somewhere to sleep.

For 7 days, inluding hotel, food, and airfare, I would say the lowest would be around $1,000.

Have you considered a cruise? If you went with a buddy you’d be set. I think that is what I am going to do.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the case. Cruises are an idea, need to find one with lax alcohol policies.

Sorry to ask my own question in your thread phade, but I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out how much would it cost to go to Florida for spring break? The cost to drive there from Michigan/the cost to fly + the stay and food and other extra money to actually do stuff there.

It is going to be cheaper to drive unless you stop in a bunch of hotels, in my family’s experience-- we have flown every year the past ten years and have recently very reluctantly changed to driving. We live in Michigan and usually stop once in knoxville and once in gainsville on the way down (headed to Sarasota area), and then just stop in knoxville on the way back up. How much it costs is going to depend on where you stay, what you eat, what kind of mileage your car gets, etc and so forth. My family drives a ford fusion, stays in comfort inns on the way there and back, and stay in a gulf front condo for a month while they’re there and eat out every night-- and it costs several thousand dollars. There are too many variables here to give you an answer.

If you are not mature/skilled enough to figure all this information out on your own, you are not prepared to handle a trip this major by yourself. I say this with much love and respect. It is what it is.

I’m going to have to agree with Emaheevul. I started working out the math of the drive, but then had to stop myself.
