anyone have experience with how one handles the spring dining plan. Do you have to go thru the whole process of choosing a plan again and pay. The website says that spring payments are due now, but there's no invoice that I can see...so I don't know how to proceed.

Yeeeahh…anyone know about this? I need food when I start back!

You go in and pick a plan and pay online on the seminole dining site. No invoices. You can change your plan at midyear, so yes you “start all over again.” As long as you sign up for a plan your leftover bucks roll over until spring. At the end of spring they DON’T roll over so go to the store on campus and use them up for supplies and stuff, chips, soda, nonperishables. (Flex bucks that is. Garnet bucks last until graduation.)

apparently my son was sent a notice in November to re-order…and never told me. I went to the site and did it…hopefully it will be available when he gets back.

It’s available in 1-2 days so he will be fine. I have done it on a Sunday and there were meals by Monday.

From what I see, the cheapest meal plan is the Block125 for $1600. Can I just buy Garnet Bucks or is that in addition to a meal plan?

If you do not have a student in a dorm that requires a meal plan, you can most definitely buy just Garnet Bucks so they can pay as they go. They can be purchased separately, and you do not have to be in a dorm or live on campus to have Garnet Bucks.

Some plans come with Flexbucks, but Garnet Bucks are not tied into any meal plan. Garnet bucks also remain good until graduation.
There is now also FSUCash. Those dollars are loaded via your students blackboard account and can be used at ALL the places you can use Garnet Bucks as well as places like the bookstore, the computer store, and the on campus UPS store. FSUCash Your student, however, could end up spending food money and nonfood items and run short at the end of the term.

Wow, so basically Garnet Bucks can be used as a pay as you go meal plan? And I assume they can be used in the Fall too and not just the summer.

Garnet Bucks can be purchased once you have an FSU number, can be used any semester, and are good until graduation.

Okay thanks very much!
