Spring Preview Day

Just wondering if anyone else has signed up for one of the Spring Preview Days? I'm scheduled for this coming Tuesday's.

I’m flying into Seattle for the the spring preview day on Friday!

Awesome! (:

When you go tomorrow will you post about your experience throughout the day? What tours you take, any interesting facts, etc? I’m not really sure what to expect besides the obvious school info… I’ve visited campus multiple times so I hope some new things are covered in these sessions :)

Sure! I’ll post about it here in this thread. I’m also hoping that I’ll learn some other information that I don’t already know. Fingers-crossed, haha! (:

Those things are sooo annoying when you’re trying to do some serious business.

XaviFM: Haha. Do you have any experiences that you can share about Spring Preview Day?

Is anyone doing the Panhellenic info sessions during spring preview? I can’t decide if joining a sorority would be a good idea… So I need more information :)

I just mean, for example, if you’re trying to run from a scheduled study session in the Graduate student areas of the Art Building to a lecture in Mary Gates Hall, having giant roaming masses of people getting school tours is not good, especially when they’re taking up all of the walkways in the Quad.

I don’t appreciate it when my chucks get muddy. :(

I just got back from the UW Spring Preview Day, so I thought I’d share my experiences:
-Residential Life Tour: I found this pretty useful since my group got to walk around Poplar Hall and take a look at the rooms, lounge areas, etc. It helped me to get a much better idea of which dorms I prefered over others. You can also take a virtual tour of the other dorm rooms on the UW website.
-UW Campus Tour: This was nice in the sense that I got to walk around a majority of the campus and stop by key areas such as the Quad, the Suzzallo Library, etc. My group’s tour guide also threw in some interesting facts about the campus’ history, and the quality of the cafeteria food.

I didn’t end up going to the General Information Session for admitted students, but I’m assuming that the information that was covered in the presentation will probably be reiterated at A&O.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience since the guides took the time to answer questions either in a group setting or individually.
