Does anybody have any information on April Welcome at WashU?

i just got a booklet in the mail today...maybe you'll get one soon? it's basically the opportunity to tour the campus and go to different presentations by the departments during the days, it looked like almost the same schedule every day, some more/some less. Plus you can sit in on classes if you want.

hmmm do you know if WashU will subsidize transportation expenses to st. louis?

it didn't say anwhere that they would...i was kind of hoping the same thing, i'd like to go out once more before the end of the year. They just list contact information for their travel agent (Flo Simpson-Travelplex Travel)

oh wow...that was the same travel agent for discovery weekend. i really really hope they will help pay for transportation costs. otherwise, visiting colleges is going to turn out really expensive...=

sorry guys, but I'm pretty sure in april welcome they won't be paying for anyone to come visit (at least, I've never known anyone they've done that for). It's just a period of time when there are lots of activities going on for the prospective students.

I was accepted to Arts and Sciences and am going to April Welcome (out of my own pocket unfortunately). I know the Art and Architecture School kids were given (free) plane tickets by WUSTL to come out and visit during the weekend of April 7th.

Students invited to the multicultural weekend get their flight, housing, and food provided, free, by Wash U. They don't do this for all admitted students, although it would be great if they did! I got a brochure today with all the events offered during April Welcome - most of them are just campus tours and talks.

I was accepted for engineering and they offered to pay my way. They told me about my acceptance early and said they would pay for all accomodations for me to visit. Anyone else here for engineering??
