Spring Transfer chances?

So I decided to give my university at least one year, but I still think I want to transfer. However, my school doesn't have the program I want to transfer into (hence, why I'm transferring), so I want to be at my potential new school longer, so I want to transfer for the spring semester.

About Me:
HS GPA: 3.8/4.0
ACT: 32
SAT Subject Scores: ~700 US Hist and Math II
ECs: Good--Varsity/Club Soccer, EIC of Newspaper, other random clubs

College:
I currently attend a top 20 university in the South
Cumulative GPA: 3.685; normal course load
ECs: Good--Student Radio, Club Soccer, Student Newspaper, Sorority, etc
Potential Recs: I took two professors for two semesters last year (and got As in both classes and I feel like they like me haha) so I think they would be pretty solid

Okay, now schools I want to transfer to

Northwestern (Communication)
Syracuse (Newhouse)
WashU (Comm/Journalism)

Also if anyone could recommend any other schools with communication programs that accept spring transfers that I would be eligible for, that would be great! (except for Cornell, I don't have all the science-y requirements to transfer)

I would think that you could transfer into Northwestern if you pulled excellent recommendations and essay. The only concern I can express is in regards to your GPA (3.685). I am kind of in the same situation as you, so I am eager to see what others members suggest.

I really don’t know about Wash U, though. Sorry. :)
