Does anyone know if it's harder to transfer to UT in the Spring? Is there an early decision application deadline?

anybody???

man you're really gung ho about transfering into UT...reminds me of Rudy

I live in Austin so it's the best option for me. There are plenty of better opportunities out of state, but I'm not rich.

do you go to acc or st. edwards? i know a lot of ACC kids end up transferring over to austin...they have a pretty good system when it comes to getting their kids to transfer over to ut.

I go to ACC. But, I recently got rejected for the Fall semester into the Liberal Arts school. My GPA is a 3.6 (ACC) and 3.2 (UT transfer calculation.) I'm thinking about taking summer courses to raise it to at least a 3.4, and then reapply for the Spring. What do you think?

have you talked it over with counselors from acc? maybe they can direct you towards what classes to take to be more competitive. as each semester pass..it's getting harder and harder to get into UT as a transfer student.

Thanks for your advice. I never really knew which university I wanted to go to until recently. So I just stuck with what classes I need for an associate's degree. After getting my letter from UT, I was suprised with a few things because of my poor planning. I found out in my letter that one of my 3 hour courses from ACC doesn't transfer. Therefore, my GPA lowered. I wrote a letter of appeal to UT, with honest reasons for what happened during my first semester. If it weren't for that semester, I would have a GPA higher than 3.6.
