Hi, im interested in research so im thinking about taking SRP next quarter. SRP can be 2 units(P/NP) or 4 units(grade). Should I take it for a grade or P/NP? btw, im a fresman

First of all, not many researchers will start an undergraduate student with SRP on their first quarter. You will be trained the first quarter, so that is just “volunteering” to work in the lab. Then you start off with SRP 99, which is 1 or 2 units depending on how much work you have and it always pass/fail basis. If your researcher agrees to it, you can have a more independent project that will allow you to enroll in SRP 199, which is variable units and gives you a ABCDF grade.

Does it matter you’re a freshman?

4 units otherwise you will not get into harvard medical school…harvard wants about 5000 hours of research and it must all be for a grade…if u want to to crap med schools do p/np

'nuff said

jtanton,

Where in the world do you get your information?
