Will the schools receive the SSAT Scores from the January 6th test before January 15th? If not, does that make our application late?
My son contacted each AO in late November and asked if they would accept the January SSAT, and they each said yes. If you took the test and already have the schools listed as recipients, reach out to each school to let them know that you took the January test and ask if they will accept it. From what I have read on previous threads on this board, most schools will accept January scores, even if their deadlines are January 15th.
My son currently attends a private K-8 day school, so we have a secondary school placement counselor on staff. She has told me that SSAT will get the scores to the schools you have designated by January 13th since there are fewer kids taking the test in January. Scores are actually sent to the schools before they are posted to the SSAT website. Since I had listed my son’s current school as a recipient of the November scores, they were able to show me the score report before it had posted to the website, which was a nice bonus. So even if you do not see the scores until after January 15th, chances are the scores were sent directly to your designated schools before the deadline.
Thank you!
Jan 6th Scores are in. I got an 86 overall and i am devasted as I wanted to go to Exeter, St. Paul’s, Andover, or Concord.
I haven’t received my scores yet. Maybe it is because I am an international student.
