I read on BSR that Andover’s average overall SSAT percentile was 94%, so you’d be above average overall. The math may hurt you a bit especially for Exeter, but the SSAT score is just one factor.

is a 770 really only 78th? I got 791 and I’m in the 99th.

@ danceaway:
math scores are crazily skewed, so i wouldn’t be surprised… reading and verbal are much more lenient.

Kids get into Exeter with that math score. Trust me; your SSAT score is fine. Focus on the rest of your application.

Note that percentiles also depend on grade/gender…

Consider yourself lucky; I got a 48th in math 695

Hi, Would this SSAT score be O.K for Exeter-

Verbal-91 Percentile

Math-77 Percentile

Reading-74 Percentile

Overall 86 Percentile

Would this be something that would hurt my application?

yeah your scores are good.

@Exeterr, 3000 applicants this yr. Why did you put all your eggs in one basket?

What do you mean? The fact that I got a 91 in Verbal and 70+ in Reading and Math?..

I think he’s saying that there’s 3000 applicants for Exeter this year and you only applied for Exeter. You shouldn’t do that, I did that last year and I was rejected.
