Just an FYI everyone, November SSAT scores are posted :))
On another note, I did better in score than last time, but because I’m in 9th grade my percentiles lowered significantly. However, I got 82 percentile overall because of a dreadful math score! I think I will retake it, although on a happy not I finally got over 700 in math which is a huge milestone for me!
Congratulations to everyone that did it and I hope you get to see 99’s across the board
I got an 84th percentile! I’m pretty content with my scores, since apparently Culver doesn’t ask for too high of scores. My math score was a little low, only a 76th, so thats what I think brought it down.
Ahhh!!! Scores are out! My first time taking the SSAT and I got a 98 overall. I got a full score on math but my verbal and reading brought it down… Congrats to all who took it!
@ivydream01 exact same score xD 82%-ile 2181. Yeah 800 for math, but a mere 665 for reading which dragged my whole score down. Verbal was also quite a pain.
@Golfgr8 I, personally, don’t think that there is something like that. I have heard and seen many students (especially international, since they are somewhat unlucky when it comes to the verbal section) who scored really low on the verbal, but had high reading and math scores.
@Golfgr8 no I don’t find that - my child did very well in Reading (94) and Verbal (87) but amazingly low in math (51). We live in Ontario, and Ontario math is KNOWN to be awful - which is why they keep changing the curriculum. She does great in her math class, but apparently it doesn’t stack up well against this test!
That said now that we know what she needs to work on - she is really hitting it and trying to up that math score in Jan!
@Golfgr8 - In China this is the case xD 99 Maths 99 Verbal and 50 - 80 Reading (Many special cases as well) @StandardizedGirl - If what you define “International” is from China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan - then I would probably disagree with you. Before our SSAT, we review verbal books, which usually boosts our scores (everyone I know personally scored 90+ in verbal).
@Atria I just called the SSAT organization to ask a question about the SAO. I also asked if the December test results would come out on the 26th. The woman I talked with said no, they will be released next week.
Rly? @BobsaidYo@CAClover
The administrator of the test said that … oh well that’s good news (I guess… I am alternating between bad news and the choice of remaining ignorant and really wanting to know how I did…ughh)
