okay, so I'm applying to boarding school. I'm apply to a few places, but my top priority school is Andover. I go to a public school right now, and my grades slipped freshman year (my gpa is a 2.9) , im bringing it up this year by taking extra classes . but anyways, i do great on tests, (ex. New England Common Assesment) . Mostly 4's, and a couple 3's .. but any tips to help me study for the SSAT's. im nervous. also, is it harder than the NECAP test? I always find NECAP's to be really easy.. oh and since i get the 3's and 4's on NECAP's, are my chances good for scoring high for the SSAT's?

SAT*… I’ve never taken the SSAT

what were the SAT’s like?

On the matter on you present academic performance… If you are unable to maintain consistently a GPA above a 3.0, then you need to be realistic about your fit for an intensely, academically demanding environment like Andover. It’s not enough to just get admitted into one of these elite schools. You need to perform well vs. your classmates there to get into a good college.
