im an okie too.

Jersey, Russia originally

Look for my outrageous Joisey accent (which jersey people don't have, contrary to popular belief)

lol. NJ rules.

New Jersey does rule, but sadly not in basketball. (No offense). Have you guys seen Garden State? Brilliant movie. Zach Braff has some talent.

Hmm, I wonder if anyone else thats going to SSP will come to CC. It seems as if it has died down. I wonder if all those people who posted before saying they got in chose SSP or another program. I would think another since they haven't been saying anything.

Dmitriy_Y, that is so cool. Never met anyone from Russia.

After these AP tests and SATs, it's smooth sailing to SSP....47 more days

smooth..sailing

I hope so

Also, I talked with Mr. Bowdon today. He's a cool dude.

Dmitriy, that's gonna be a riot to hear in Socorro, the Jersey accent mixed with the Russian accent, but I wouldn't expect you to have a heavy Russian accent (definately no match to my Russian professor from St. Petersburg last year). The other thing cool from last summer where I went- Macedonian rap.

I'm from Taiwan, and I live in Taiwan. But no, I don't speak with any weird/cool accents. =P

I'm gonna have to cross my name off the Socorro roster...

What? Why? Are you not going?

how did everyone do on their ap tests? i think i did fine on statistics, but calc bc was horrible! i hate tests! especially 5 hour tests!

so is NO one else going to ISEF?

bowen called me the other day asking if i could change campuses (i said i couldnt). does anyone know what that was about?

latindude- why arent u going?

rahrah- haha yea calc bc was bad (multiple choice led you into a false sense of complacency, then the free response totally destroyed you)
spanish wasnt that hot for me either, and im more scared about span than calc because the curve for span is so much harder

juzam id be more worried about ap comp sci cause that test owned

O wait....do any of you think its because of a campus change? As in Socorro to Ojai? Please Respond LatinDude.

it probably is
why are so many people getting switched around?

Calc BC was ok. I didn't do that well, but since I didnt' take the class, I guess I can't expect to do that well (without putting in a lot of time, which I didn't =P).

I'm screwed for Physics C though (which I also self-studied). It doesn't have nearly as gracious a curve as Calc BC and is probably harder, too. I'm in for some massive cramming this weekend, especially since I gotta study for Bio (which is the only course I actually took) too. Bio's much easier since we did a few practice tests, but our class is certainly far from well-prepared. (We didn't cover animal form and function or ecology at all in class.)

i didnt take a calc bc class either, so thats probably also why i thought it was hard. how big is the curve normaly?
do you really only need to get half right to get a 5? why is the curve so big?

MY AP TESTS ARE OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPY!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

juzam_djinn---You took Spanish? I don't know many people who did...I did, and my goodness, it scared me to DEATH. The listening part was fairly easy, I thought, but then I got to the stories...And the essay...I'm basically just really hoping right now that I don't get a 2. A 3 will make me happier than anything. I can't talk in Spanish that well...how do you think you did on the recording part?

To Sigh...I'm taking physics C as well. :-| I took the class though, so that will make the test a lot easier. I cannot imagen self-studying for it, it's so difficult for me... have you taken any practice tests?? I'm freaked out about it! My friend took a practice physics B test and got a 1...we are all fairly frightened of physics right now. :-(

How is bio? I'm thinking about taking it Senior year (I don't want to take it as a junior, cause I'm taking AP chem and I don't want to kill myself, lol).

Is anyone else taking/has anyone else taken APUSH? I have it tomorrow. :-|

I don't know what's up with the switching campuses thing...maybe they had too many people who wanted to go to CA?

Hey tweetle. I also took Spanish along with JD. I think I scored a high four on it. I hope the curve is low though. Listening was easy, reading was long and tedious, and writing and oral were just bleh. AP Bio is pretty easy for me, and my teacher prepares us pretty well. I am pretty sure I can get a five....wish me luck monday. I have two days (today and tomorrow) to study for SAT II Bio and Spanish...good times. By the time you are reading this, you will have probably already finished APUSH exam, but just remember, the force will be with you, always.

GL everyone with your tests!

Latindude..where did u go. Still kind of curious about the campus switch thing.

Ladros

Bio is just a lot of memorization, you can do it whenever you want tweetletoot
Hope you all did well on APUSH
Wish me and Ladros luck on SAT II Bio and Spanish tomorrow!

I decided to not go. But its for a good cause. I hope I made someone on the wait list happy.
