Does anyone know anything about this program? Previous students/parents feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I know a bit, but am not an expert (I have a friend whose child did it, and one of mine considered it seriously, so we looked at it then). What are your questions/qualms?
I applied for it, hopefully will hear back by mid-April. I want to go into the field of International Relations, I plan to study the first two years at St. Andrews, and my final two years at W&M. Do most people follow this type of arrangement? How have American students adjusted to the program? The biggest thing I worry about is my ability to find funding via scholarships and loans for the program. Any advice or useful information would be great. Thank you so much!
I applied to St. Andrews through CommonApp for the program.
Ouch on the funding part- that is something you & your family need to look at hard, b/c there is not much money available from either side, esp if you are OOS for W&M.
It’s evenly split between which way people start, so don’t worry about that. Americans seem to adjust just fine to the program itself, though I know students who have found the town rather small after a while (less of an issue when you know that you are only there 2 years). St Andrew’s is very American-friendly- have you visited?
