St Luke's, GFA, NCCS, and King Low Heywood

Could someone give some detail information? We are considering register with one of these schools for Grade 6.

Greens Farms Academy

St Luke's School

New Canaan Country School

King Low Heywood Thomas

They are all in same distance from our place in Norwalk (5-10 miles). My questions who has the better language classes, French, Latin, etc? The class size? relatively better class schedule? I understand NCCS has class up to 9th grade, is it better to change different high school or stay at the same school until college? After all, where can find private high school rank in CT?

Thanks in advance,

Does anyone know what the ISSE score requirements look like for St Luke’s, King, Brunswick, and Greens Farms?

Similar question…which is the best all around of the four and which would be the second and why?

This thread is from 2011.

Isn’t there a prep school section of this forum? Might get better answers there.

Academically, I think most people in the area would rank the schools as follows:

GRA and NCCS–tie

St. Lukes

King

And Rye Country Day probably outranks them all based solely on academics/selectivity. But they each have their own personality and style and should be investigated individually to determine what’s best for a particular child.

Any tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
