The Brunswick School

Can someone give me any information on the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut? I have researched the school a lot, and am taking a visit in December, but I would like to hear some feedback about the school from you guys. Also, what would I have to get on the SSAT to get in?

bump, i need some feedback

"I think" Brunswick is the top private day school in Southern Fairfield, CT. Tougher to get into than most BS. Superb academically and athletically. Good SSAT does not garantee acceptance anywhere but my guess would be min 85%. The campus and facilities are really impressive. Good luck.

Brunswick is a well-regarded day school for boys. In upper school, I've heard that it combines with its companion girls school, Greenwich Academy. You can ask them for their ISEE &/or SSAT range from 25%-75% if you want to know this. If you are looking at day schools in the area, you can also visit Greens Farms, Rye Country Day, Fairfield Prep, KLHT, and St. Lukes. Some people extend the search to include the Bronx schools like Fieldstone, Fordham Prep, Horace Mann and Riverdale. Some people go even further, but I think it's better to board than be faced with an extended commute.

If you are still applying to boarding schools, you should ask if the day school will extend an acceptance to April 10th (contract signing after revisit), or at least shortly after March 10th. Day schools are usually on a different enrollment schedule. Some will extend an acceptance and others will not.

Good luck!

I posted this on your previous thread asking about day schools in Fairfield County. Brunswick is well-regarded -- sports oriented and fairly intense. Outstanding sports facilities at their new Middle School campus on the outskirts of Greenwich, including a great hockey rink. (Upper School students are bussed out there.) Unless things have changed in the last couple of years, in the upper school i.e., HS, classes are co-ed with girls from their sister school, Greenwich Academy, with the exception of math classes. These classes stay single sex. Boys wear a jacket & tie. Quite competitive to get in as they draw from the well-to-do surrounding towns. (Of course, that may be changing, given the economic climate.) Search their website for SSAT info. Good luck.

Wick is a really good school...the boys that go there are very "interesting"...usually very cute.
