My child was accepted as a day student at St Mark's. We all loved the school, but w/ 70% boarding, 30% day, I am looking for any thoughts on the life and role of a day student.

My D is a boader at SMS. She has several day students friends. They are pretty much sams as boarding students except the fact that they go home after classes are over. Sometimes, they sleep over their boarding friends’ dorm. They have exactly same activities
and roles as boarders. the only thing is that you have to rides to your child every day.
I met many day students parents at the parents meeting, and some of them have better roles just because they are close to the school. But not all of them. The day student percentage is actually less than 30%, which is pretty much as other BS.

erkbyk- I have read some of your posts- you are a big fan of SMS- what is about the school you like most (and what do you dislike)?

I like everything there except only one thing, whcih is swimming pool. They don’t have it. But I love their academic, X-curricular, teachers, etc.
