Al I really know about this school is that it's awfully tiny, and known as a "Public Honors College". Just browsing around the website, I'm pretty interested.

Does anyone know any specifics? Primarily about its Psychology Department? Also- would the size of the school be a major drawback to someone who is generally pretty social and likes to go out as well as have a lot of activities going on?

Thank you to anyone who's got some answers to share! :)

Sorry- I’m hoping to get some applications done today, and I’ve stumbled across this school so I’d like to know if I should bother- of course I’d visit but still-

So yeah…bump?

As some more information- I’ve been to small private schools all my life. I’m graduating in a class of a little under 400, and even my grammar school class was only 38 so I’m used to a small setting, but I kind of don’t want it too small. I feel that’s what I’ll get here, though.

I have not visited - but my understanding is that besides being small it is quite remote. Very pretty location on the water - would be great for someone who likes to sail, etc. - but not much available off campus. Not much in the way of public transportation. Simply going off campus to shop might be an ordeal.

My impression is that this school would fit someone who wanted a small intimate campus experience and was not looking for nightlife off campus. Your focus is going to be the friends you make on campus and the activities offered on campus.

Very well respected academically. This is definitely a school you would want to visit - as some are put off by the location.

^^ Thanks, I was literally just looking at going for a tour and info session. While I’m not much of a partier, I do like having fun- and yeah I’ve been to some parties, but I’d rather not be going to one every weekend. I’m all for the idea of the activities and new people, though, so I guess there’s no harm in visiting.

Anyone else?

…bump? (sorry again! D: )

Happykid has two friends at St Mary’s and they both are delighted to be there. Do pay a visit, take the tour, and see what you think for yourself.
