Husband, Son and FIL are traveling to ND this weekend for a Prospectrive Student Info Session and, more importantly, the ND v. Syracuse Game. Are there restrictions as to what can be taken into the stadium? Are back-packs allowed? Are they searched? Since the three of them will be on campus all day, and it's gonna be cold this weekend, they would like to be able to have backpacks with them for the day.

Backpacks are allowed, but they will be searched. As for restrictions on what can be in them: no weapons, no booze, and no open water bottles (if the seal is unbroken, its OK). I'm pretty sure that's it.

well there are benches for a majority of the seats and stadium seats are the boxed seats - most expensive from scalpers etc... my parents used to get them for season tickets but sell them now b/c i didn't get in -i think we get it through a raffle... not sure though- but seats are great, jsut tell them to stay warm.. it'll be cold in the bend this time around

I know the sections for the parents of students are bleacher seats and it is a very tight squeeze. Both leg room and shoulder space!! Fortunatley I went while it was warmer weather and no jackets were needed. But it is a fantastic time! Enjoy

These seats are through our alumni club. Luckily, I'm staying behind, but I figure they'll be warmer in the stadium, crammed into those bleachers than they will wandering around campus before and after.

It won't be warm in either the stadium or anywhere else. S. Bend is currently under a Heavy Snow Lake Effect Warning and is supposed to get 8-12" of snow tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully they are wrong, but it's already snowing. Combine that with chilly winds. I'd advise dressing in layers and lots of them. The little hand and foot warmer packs might be a good idea too! Hope they have a great time anyway.
