Hello, I recently got my financial aid award this morning like everyone else. There was an amount for the Stadium Scholarship Program. I know the basics of this program from the website and description, but can someone elaborate on what this is? I was also planning on doing a scholars program, but it seems as though I can’t in this program(since I have to live in a special dorm)? If anyone can help clarify this program that would be great!

@skiingfish My DH and I both lived in the stadium scholarship dorm, but over 20 years ago. That was when it was actually housed in the stadium (very cool). At the time, it was a co-op dorm. We had to work about 6 hours a week in the dorm, to help cover the cost of our room and board. As a freshman, I worked in our cafeteria, checking ID’s, washing dishes, etc. I’m not sure what kind of work you would do. It was never anything too time consuming or difficult. I think it would prevent you from participating in a scholars program since you have to live in your scholars LLC.
@jandhmom thank you for your reply!! I think now students in this program work doing committee work (at least I assume so from the website). They do say that it won’t be time consuming. I’ve settled on doing this program over scholars, and I’ve already declined my scholars invitation (very sadly). The only question I really have left about this is what the Scholars east/west dorms are like, since I’ll be living in one of them; so if any current/past students have any experience living in these dorms please let me know!
