Standerdized score to be considered at WashU

Is there anyone who got accepted to WashU with an ACT below a 30? I'm just curious to even know if I have a chance against the competitive pool.

Bump

Take a look at the common data set - section C9: http://wustl.edu/policies/assets/pdfs/wustl%20cds%202012-2013.pdf</a>. It says the middle 50% range for ACT composite was 32-34. Hope this helps.

Yes, there were a few admitted ED that had scores lower than 30. My son had a 28 composite.

@iowaparent15 Ooh, that’s one point above my ACT score. Superscored, I have a 27 & that’s my latest score. I’m wondering if taking the Feb ACT is even worth a try considering that their app deadline is Jan 15. & if I’m waitlisted, I can send them my new Feb score if that’s even possible. Congrats to ur son!

In terms of test scores, 98% of the admitted students scored 30 or higher on the ACT, so to paraphrase Jim Carrey, you’ve got a shot. Wash U does look at all aspects of the applicants, so be sure to emphasize in your app what you would bring to the school. I believe the Wash U site mentions the last testing date they will typically consider for both application periods, so I would suggest doing a search for that info.
