Stanford 2014 SCEAers

I thought we had to send all scores?

sorry guys
i left the facebook group
i like the anonymity too.

lol the non-existant facebook group?

It send on one of their web pages that students must send ALL SAT or ALL ACT scores and two subject tests. So I assumed that meant I only had to send all the scores for either test. I checked with them and they said it was fine.

did anybody send both SAT and ACT scores? i sent ALL of mine- ACT, SAT, and SAT subject
and Diivio, they didn’t say that you MUST send in 2 subject tests

damn, we are going to hit 200 today (@1084 i think)

I sent both.

@gigi2010, i did

i was kind of wondering what they do if you send both scores

anyone have any insight?

Applicants must self-report and submit all SAT scores OR all ACT scores is what it says on the page but I think they say elsewhere that tehy focus on your highest scores, so Nitro your 33 will prolly be what they focus on.

I’m talking about, which scores do they focus on, how do they compare them

when you send both the SAT, ACT

I sent both of them too. I live in the midwest, though, and no one cares about the SAT so I pretty much had to take the ACT anyway, and so I figured I might as well send them in.

@Nitro, when I visited, they said that they choose the higher one (after putting them on the same scale) to evaluate you on. And if they are both really good scores, they like the consistency. So sending both of them can only help you.

loll the must was just for SAT or ACT not subject tests those are just reccommended.

Oh, I don’t think you had to send both; I just did. I knew they’d look at the higher scores, 'cause I trust them to stick to their word.

i sent all my SAT, all my ACT, and all 3 of my subject tests.
all of them were quite similar so i figured i might as well
they said they look at all of your strongest scores that you send if you send more than the required test scores. but who knows what that actually means

I sent both, even though they were basically the same.

Prussia!, the only change that I think would be worth making to the template is to switch “parenthesis” to “parentheses.” It’s always bothered me. :P

one of the admit off. said they “convert” act’s to the equivalent SAT score using their own converter (so i guess its not the generic 36=2400, 35=2340, etc.?)

i think it would be easier for us to post our decisions if we put all the info in now and just copied/pasted it on dec. 11/14/15 with the decision. IMO

that way you dont have to retype all of your stats and think about “what couldve changed it…”

lol @ consistancy

my scores are all over the map

(from test to test i mean)

and as far as the generic score converter, i think when dealing w/36’s they might take into account if its straight 36’s or if there are 2, 35s or a 34 in there in the conversion process

The admissions officer that I talked to said that they would actually convert each individual section to a common scale and calculate your combined composite. At least, that’s the impression that I got.
