Rejected, as expected.
Heading off to UC Berkeley!

My son was also rejected. I see his talents and those of the rest of you and I wonder what in the world they are looking for. at least we are saved the financial toll. As it stands we are waiting on aid package from Notre Dame - his clear cut first choice.

Accepted. Shivering since seeing the word Congratulations. This is unreal.

Waitlisted. Any chance? :

How rude of me to not acknowledge those of you accepted. Congratulations! Really an amazing accomplishment. Best wishes to you all - wherever you land.

@margatroyd - What a class act you are. Sorry that your son didn’t make it. I am always amazed at the graciousness of folks on CC - an anonymous forum.

I need to stop reading now that we have an answer!
I’m genuinely happy for the success of these amazing kids. (Admitted or not) being a student these days is way different than in my era. Way more demands on time and talents.
Go get 'em guys. The world is yours for the taking!

I just got in.

Rejected

still haven’t gotten an email… is this normal?

I’m in!

Still no email… almost 9

Never received an email, so I’ll have to call Admissions on Monday. Congratulations to all the acceptances! And to the rejected, remember: Everyone that gets in deserves it, but not everyone that deserves it gets in.

I’m on the same boat, RandomLunchbox.

Is this normal to still not have gotten an e-mail? Does this mean anything?
The suspense is getting a little overwhelming…

I got in!!! So honored. Congratulations to everyone!

How do we view financial aid?

d rejected. Two of her classmates were accepted but have no intention of going. They both had ED acceptances to their first choice ivy, and decided just for fun to see if Stanford would accept them too. Screwed my d out of her chance since Stanford already accepted one early for athletics. They probably weren’t looking for a fourth from the same school. grrrrrrrrrrr

@chappa. I am sorry to hear about your D. Unfortunately, there are too many students like your D’s classmates who do what they do…and there are just as many students who got into Stanford REA (who have no intention of going to any other school) who still applied to M and a few other northeast schools just to stroke their ego as well…

S’s school routinely gets more than 4 students accepted each year so they don’t have any quotas on number of kids from a school. Moreover, why are these kids allowed to keep RD apps in play if they have been accepted ED? They are violating the ED process and the school counselor is not doing his/her job.
