STANFORD admits 2,412 of 20,194 applicants for 2009

yes..... I agree

Byerly,

I don't know Stanford is that obssessed and concern about how that number compares to its peers'. I guess they really shot themselves in the foot by setting the application deadline earlier than HPY's. LOL!

wow that percentage is horrible. ah well, i was never expecting on getting in stanford in the first place. i got into a few great other places so i'll try not to be bummed when the rejection letter arrives :D

omg i'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congratulations, what did the envelope look like?

big with the word congratulation on it

thanks for the heads up...

Staticsoliloquy, congrats. I remember how down you were after Harvard's decisions. I'm very happy for you.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I think Princeton's was 8% this year. ;)

to static.. congrats! i'm so happy for you :)

anyway, i didn't get anything in the mail today. bad sign? doesn'tmeananything sign? kinda nervous now..

I live in Palo Alto and I didn't get anything either, whereas some of my other friends from school got acceptance letters today. I think it's a bad sign.

Have any of your Palo Alto friends received reject letter from Stanford?

CONGRATULATIONS, STATIC!

I hope I'll be seeing you this April and if not, then in the Fall! Go Cardinal

i think the only hope i have is that i live in SoCal.. and it might take slightly longer for the mail to be delivered.. ack

My Palo Alto vicinity daughter got the Congratulations letter today. Congratulations static. I have followed your posts. You have soul.

Has anybody in the Palo Alto vicinity received rejection letters?

If not, then my guess is that the school sent out acceptance letters first and the rejection letters will come later.

Live just outside Palo Alto. No Letter. Couple friends have not received anything either. Only letters I'm aware of have been alumni kids that were accepted...maybe they were sent first? Doesn't seem like its good news though.

It's getting to be tough...been waiting since early action...
I'm starting to consider caltech and uc berkeley...

Ahhh I got accepted too! This is great since I fell in love with Stanford after I visited the campus past week.

Congratulations, simonw00t!

so the drama unfolds
